Socio-political praxis in occupational therapy
At the heart of minor praxis is re-imagining care relationships and systems of care, both within and beyond institutional contexts. Professional care relations in health and human services (including occupational therapy) typically lack reciprocity and tend to reinforce the binaries and inequalities they seek to ameliorate. We believe that a praxis grounded in reciprocity and relationality, and is attentive to socio-political factors that produce social inequites, can create more welcoming communities and support well-being and belonging for both service recipients and providers.
This particular project is focused on socio-political praxis in occupational therapy. See below for tools and resources that have come out of this work.
